NCT127 on the street

The title track ‘gimme gimme’ is an obstructive song that describes ‘Why don’t you love me?’ the feeling of craving for love to the point of falling into darkness. The image of love that I have was that it’s a bright and beautiful thing but it made me rethink that love is also sometimes something that gives you pain. No one would ever want that kind of love but sometimes I guess it could change into that. Even so, I don’t think love should just be seen as something dark. This moment when I am expanding my dreams with my members right now is when I’m expressing my affection/love the most. I think I find it cherishable the heart’s willingness to understand the people around
the US.

Which part of yourself do you love?
Character: The part of myself that tries to look for my own’s inadequacy
Appearance/Movements: Eyes
As a singer: The part of myself that doesn’t think what I’m doing as “work”

If you were to convey your love to the members again?
All the members are loving themselves too while working really hard. I really like & respect the sides of them as they worry & work hard to find their own colours. I look forward to their even cooler sides in the future.

What differences have you made to the expression of each track?
During the recording of all the songs, I’ve thought carefully about each song’s lyrics & tried to fall completely into the emotions of each song. Overall it’s a feeling of wanting love but I recorded the songs thinking about how different each track is and how the people who are listening to the songs will be accepting it. Image training.

The time that I was resting was a time when I got to learn a lot of things. For example, there was more time than usual for me to have conversations with the people around me so I had peace of mind through that. I thought let’s think preciously of this change of mine.

Kick It which was a big hit last year is one of the side tracks on this album. While Kick It was a song about overcoming trauma, the title track this time is about the state of being unable to be free of that trauma. There’s a clearly different approach to trauma even in the same album.

Ah, if any of our fans are experiencing a love like “gimme gimme” I will “Kick It” for them (laughs). Recently, there was a period of time I got hurt and took a break. The time that I was resting was a time when I got to learn a lot of things. For example, there was more time than usual for me to have conversations with the people around me so I had peace of mind through that. I thought let’s think preciously of this change of mine. I started to think “Even if it’s a difficult time, I see I could also overcome other issues as well.”
